The Days at Pioneer Village

I wanted to give you a stroll through my space at the
Old Peddler's Fair at Pioneer Village in Bakersfield, CA last weekend
The weather was beautiful and so many nice, hardworking vendors with many treasures.

I had fun making these folded book page art.  They work great for displays.

It wasn't all about the treasures.... there was great food too!

A big thank you to my friend, Beverly, for spending the weekend helping me.
Go visit her at her blog, My Sew Sweet Studio

Where To Find "Victorian at Heart" Vintage Finds

This is my great niece cowgirl, Taylor, with the saddle.

You might say that I'm back in the saddle again.
I, "Victorian at Heart" joined my friend, Sally, with "FrenchWhite" at the Five and Dime Antique Mall in downtown Bakersfield, California.  I have been a vendor there before and I knew it was time to saddle up again.  This antique mall has two stories of treasures awaiting you when you visit the old Five and Dime Store at 1400 19th Street.  Plan to stop by the 1950's Luncheonette in this building for a nostalgic themed lunch.

I'm saddling up to be a vendor on
"Antique Alley" at the"Old Time Peddler's Faire"
Saturday, 9am - 5pm, October 13 and
Sunday October 14, 2012, 9am - 3:30pm
at the Kern County Museum in Bakersfield, California.  This is a beautiful setting of 50 historic buildings on 8 tree-lined acres with over 200 vendors. There will be Antiques, Food, and Music
so bring the whole family and enjoy a stroll.
If you would like more information visit
It only happens once a year so plan on attending.

See  You  There  !!!

Photos are Great Memories

My daughter, Monica, her husband, Trent, and my three grandsons, Davis (14), C J (12), and Eli (10) had a photo shoot today.  The photographer is Stephanie with Stephanie's Photography.  She lives in Bakersfield California and is getting started with some great ideas.

Their last name is Ford.  I found the "Ford" truck tailgate at the "Remnants of the Past" show in San Luis Obispo, CA last Spring.  It looks so great with the brick wall background they used from the old downtown building in Bakersfield, CA

Photos like these would make memorable home decor.

I hope this Mom/Grammy gets a gift from this collection.

Add a Little Drama

I added a little drama to my life

Rather the pantry door and wall got a new black coat to wear.

This is a before photo over the kitchen cabinets

And the next photos got dressed up too

A touch of paint goes a long way to adding drama.
